MICCS Contractor Certification Program
Policy Statement
- Indianapolis Power & Light Company (IPL) recognizes the attainment
of MICCS Certification as a significant achievement that reflects
a contractor's strong commitment to construction safety. As such,
IPL supports the certification process, and strongly encourages
contractors to participate in it.
- Each IPL location will determine the extent to which contractors
will be required to participate in the Contractor Certification
Program. At some IPL locations, regularly used contractors will
be required to achieve certification.
- Any contractor that achieves MICCS certification will be safety
pre-qualified to work for IPL.
- IPL supports the efforts of MICCS to work with the Indiana Department
of Labor to achieve VPP-like status for MICCS certified contractors.
